Bodyclock Alarm Clock

Bodyclock Alarm ClockShort-term happiness can not replace long-term health

As the clocks go back, we all face the full brunt of the imminence of a long, dark winter. The changing seasons have a variety of effects from person to person, even though the most exuberant of us may feel discouraged by the darkness that lies ahead. Winter Holidays - "beyond the sun" - are big business during the winter months, with many of us to leave our shores back to greener pastures.

However, we can all do the same thing. Whether by high costs or work and family, many of us are stuck in the UK with the deteriorating weather. Left behind, there is a temptation to let them overcome the pessimism of us and in such an environment, it is not surprising that we seek to facilitate other, cheaper ways to get the sensation of brightness that the holidays Winter brings.

One of the most popular methods is visiting tanning salons use sunbeds, which seem full of sunshine outside. This aesthetically pleasing gives rise to a sense of accomplishment and well-being, but it is only a short term solution.

Continued use of sunbeds supports the warm glow of the fire, but the fact is that one trip to a tanning salon can expose the average person in the United Kingdom to more UV rays (harmful rays emitted by the sun) we are accustomed to one year. The veneer of tanning hides the more damage that makes skin look older. The effects of old age are eager - blemished skin is wrinkled and hard - the result is that the disappearance of tanning unmasks the skin damage that lies beneath.

Even this is not the worst case, the link between sun beds and skin cancer are well documented. Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United Kingdom, particularly in England and Wales where there are more than 60,000 new cases reported each year. 15% of these cases were diagnosed as malignant melanoma, the most dangerous form of skin cancer - a 100% increase since 1992.

The high level of sun bed use in the UK can certainly be attributed to a psychological feeling of sadness. The short-term relief of what we do from the use of tanning beds is as artificial as the sun itself. Soon this feeling positive and decreases with the depressing weather getting worse every day the temptation to head back to the tanning salon is almost impossible to resist. The solution, however, lies in the mind. This sadness is actually due to decreased production of serotonin in the brain, the chemical that is responsible for regulating our mood. So what we need is not the outward appearance of having spent time in the sun, but the feeling inside of it. This can be achieved through the use of devices such as alarm clock sunrise, which emits light with the production of serotonin. These devices generate much less ultraviolet light than the day, so they will not give you a tan they are much safer to use when considering how to address the "winter blues". After all, the long-term happiness is most important to preserve our health.
