Canon Wireless

Canon WirelessWhat are the options for Canon wireless flash.a

I have a 400D with a Jessops flash. I saw someone at a concert with the same establishment, except they had a wireless transmitter so they can keep the flash gun at arm's length to get better shadows etc. But I can not seem to find one. If there is a cheaper alternative to a gun that would be nice! ;)

I think the Canon STE2 you hold all the capabilities Ettl - which means that the flash is "intelligent" and feeds information back and forth with the 400D.

non-dedicated wireless has really grown over the past two years. Pocket wizards have long been known as the most reliable equipment (and expensive). Paul C. Buff (AlienBees United States) has an excellent line that is less expensive.

You also now very expensive equipment (and less reliable) from China. Check eBay for some, or this site:

The non-dedicated wireless requires you to use your flash in manual mode - where you set the power level (1, 1 / 2, 1 / 4, etc.). If you Jessops 360AFD it looks like he has manual.

The best place to learn more about the hot off-field is the Strobist site. Lots and lots of free information to read before you take your place.

Good luck!
