Closed Circuit Television

Like any television, except you do not receive signals from a broadcast or a cable system or satellite, but instead of a dedicated television camera connected to the TV receiver via a cable.

Of course, there are many variations. you might be able to choose from different cameras from different sites, or you can use your regular television set, or the signal can be sent via wireless signal or via the Internet. Or there may be a recorder in the loop.
