What is the treatment of low blood pressurea
If you know the cause of low blood pressure then treat the cause first to treat high blood pressure down. Chronic low blood pressure can be treated with changes in lifestyle and dietary management. You can easily control your blood pressure within normal limits by making following changes to your daily lifestyle.

Use more salt. Physicians often recommend reducing salt intake, as sodium can increase blood pressure. But it's an advantage for people with low blood pressure. If you are patient of heart failure then consult your doctor before increasing salt in your diet.

Drink plenty of fluids - can take 10 glasses of fluid per day. During exercise and hot weather, you should take fluids rich in sodium and potassium

Take extra salt and water for the disease as smoke and cold. During smoke you could lose lots of fluids.

Ask your doctor to evaluate your medicine and skip the drug that is causing the blood pressure too low.

To improve circulation, have regular exercise.

If you have orthostatic hypotension, so be careful when standing or sitting position in bed. Breathe deeply for several minutes before getting up. Pump your ankles and feet a few times before standing up to increase circulation. For a few minutes to sit on the edge of the bed before getting up. Cross your thighs and legs so as to press or scissors and put one foot on a chair and lean as far as possible. These flows maneuvers increase blood of your legs to heart.

Slightly elevate the head of your bed while sleeping by placing bricks under the headboard.

Avoid lifting heavy

Do not force when you are in the toilet

Do not take prolonged hot baths, if you have symptoms while taking bath, sit down. It is best to keep a chair in the shower to avoid injury.

If your blood pressure goes down after taking meal, then you should take small amount of frequent meals. Better to rest after taking meal. Do not take antihypertensive drugs before meal. Do not take diet rich in carbohydrates, like potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. You can take coffee with meals that contain caffeine. Caffeine can increase blood pressure, caffeine is known to cause other problems, so follow the advice of your doctor before increasing caffeine in your diet. 2 cups of coffee give you 250 milligrams of caffeine.

You may wear elastic stockings to cover your legs and thighs. By doing this, you limit the blood flow to the legs, and most blood in the parties retain the upper body and maintain normal blood pressure.

Avoid taking alcohol when you are having low blood pressure that alcohol is also an important factor for dehydration. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.

Increase whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean chicken and fish in your diet

Medicines for low blood pressure

Following medicines can raise blood pressure and physicians often add these drugs to their prescription

Fludrocortisone. It is a mineralocorticoid that can be used with low blood pressure cases like postural hypotension. Its mechanism of action is sodium retention by the kidney thus retaining more fluid in the body and blood pressure increases. Sodium retention causes loss of potassium in the same time, so when you take this drug, it is necessary to take potassium with your diet.

Midodrine. Midodrine activates arterioles and veins receptors to produce an increase in blood pressure. If you have Drager syndrome shy, so this drug may be useful in treating orthostatic hypotension.

Some other medications such as pyridostigmine, anti-inflammatory drugs, caffeine and erythropoietin can also increase blood pressure.
