My wife and I are trying to buy a new DVD video camera. I heard they are limited to only one hour of recording before having to go to DVD, is this truea DVD video camera is a good cameraa

If you save the best quality is only about 20 minutes per disc and no they are not good! Good idea, but the camcorder has not. If you want to watch the best video quality of MiniDV camcorders, if you want to save without changing anything (except batteries) examine hard drive camcorders. Sony is good. Most of the media on these new camcorders only record 1 hour. It's not like at the time of 2 hours recording on HI8 tape is a disappointment. You can save in a quality inferior to increase over time. There are Dual Layer DVD that has a more record time, but the DVD is much more expensive.

DVD camcorders are good if you do not plan to modify the video below. They can go directly from the camcorder to your DVD. But you do not need to format and finalize your DVD so it can play in a standard DVD player.
