Firex 12000

Firex 12000Why does my smoke detector beep, like it needs a new batterya

I know when a new battery is needed, so I'm looking for other answers. My FIREX 12000 series CO / Fire detector beeps only a month after replacing the battery (a beep every 60 seconds). Sometimes it seems to take a break beep. There is 1 in a series of 7 connected throughout the home - AC with battery backup. It is closest to the kitchen.

First just to be safe, install a new battery that has a "good until" date on the package. I saw piles fixed for a year on a car in a maintenance shop and failures when installed. Also, is there to warn you that it (the sensor) is not receiving power and runs on battery backupa If you have any documentation on the detectors, compare what it means beep in the literature. If this is not the case, and it is a combination of CO and smoke detector, do check your furnace and water heater for CO levels if using gas oil heating.

if more than 5 years old time to replace it they will do once they are old, even with new batteries and wired home
