First Alert Motion Light

Posted on November 16, 2010.
First Alert Motion LightWhy the lights at night with motion sensors suddenly stop workinga

First Alert GE, whatever .... after awhile, they all just stop working - the bulbs are fine, but wont turn on.

I wonder, because I use them all over and believe they have a shelf life of forced obsolescence and replacement. That said, I found some of them I could get by simply wiping the surface of the motion sensor with a damp cloth, I guess they just enough dirt on them to interfere with light light ....

Light sensors turn off. You should replace it.

mostly it's plastic cover over the eye sensor. He mist above the condensation or just a result of external factors. Some light games allows you to remove the lid for cleaning eyes, less expensive units just need to be replaced

Before you decide that the light has stopped working to try to clean the sensor. It will collect dust, dirt and so over time its ability to sense movement will decrease
