I wonder if it is true that the keys you get in a motel is safe to go back "t can cut the load loss I wonder if the magnetic key safe. When you put them in to receive your personal imformation is there for any employee to access by simply scanning the card scanner. An motel employee can take a handful of cards the house and using a scanning device access imformation on a laptop and go shopping at your expense. Just put the hotels do not erase imformation on these cards until an employee re-issues the card to the motel next guest.Should I keep the card and take it home and destroy it by cutting it. If I do this and they charged me for a card.So lost my question is how safe are these cards.
I just left my job at the hotel. You would not believe how much information we have easy access to what we can leverage. And true, some important information seriously are not thrown away or are thrown, but did not shredded. There no real answer to your question because it depends on the hotel employee. So I want to emphasize that while it is true that the "customer is always right" ... customers should certainly treat people who receive them with equal respect. Because not only are they welcome, they have access to all ....
Key card only contains the information about this lock is broken, in general, its validity period. There is nothing personal there.
I work for a Hilton branch. The only information stored on your key card is what you're indoors and how long the key is to stay active. If you are only there for 2 nights, card-key is useless by 11:59. No names or personal information is stored on these cards at all. However, we have access to your CC number and full address and others. We must use the ID to access personal information about you, but can not do so without good cause and it saves us is that DC are fully seen. Apart from that, it only lets us know the last 4 digits by default)
Basically, there is no need to worry about the information on your magnetic key room, and we the employees are often controlled and newspapers are stored in the computer to watch us:)
I hope this helps:)
No, they do not 'have any information on them on you. The chest is right there to the hotel to use to make money on securing your "value". I think that hotels encourage their employees to steal customers to promote the use of safes, which are real money makers.
