I wonder if the magnetic key safe.When you put them in to receive your personal imformation is there for any employee to access by simply scanning the card scanner.An motel employee can take a handful of cards the house and using a scanning device access imformation on a laptop and go shopping at your expense. Just put the hotels do not erase imformation on these cards until an employee re-issues the card to the motel next guest.Should I keep the card and take it home and destroy it by cutting it. If I do this and they charged me for a card.So lost my question is how safe are these cards.

No, they do not 'have any information on them on you. The chest is right there to the hotel to use to make money on securing your "value". I think that hotels encourage their employees to steal customers to promote the use of safes, which are real money makers.
