How do I lock a Nokia phone with prepaid onlinea My phone is stolen and 6230i, so I want to block so it will be useless now. Is it possible to lock prepaid onlinea I know the serial number of this phone. Hopefully someone can answer this problem!. tnx!
If you use a GSM service as AT & T or Tmobile, etc. Then the only thing you can do is have the list of wireless companies, it on its blacklist.
When people call probs with cellular, etc., they always ask their IMEI or ESN info to update the account, what should it ever come - that's it!
But realistically, if it is a GSM phone, they can be unlocked, and as long as the new person never gives the number of cells to the carrier (as it will not really affect the GSM service if they have the wrong IMEI their profile of the cell.) then they can still use your phone without any problem.
If it is a CDMA or TDMA cell phone (Verizon, Nextel, Cricket, etc.), then the cell number of people are connected directly to the IMEI (no sim cards) for a time someone tries to that activate IMEI, they will be denied! YEAH!
