Quiet Desk Fan

I once read that BMW has developed or acquired an ultra-quiet fan for circulating air passenger cabin which was specially shaped fan blades cuased minimal turbulence, and near zero noise.

In the same article I also read that there was a desktop version of a fan of the design which was extremely quiet.
