What type of solid fuel stove will last longer, steel or cast iron pansa

Cast iron to heat quickly and distribute heat more evenly, as well as they retain heat longer than steel do ... I prefer cast iron ... as well as cookware cast iron .. cook food more evenly and retains heat to a constant temperature better than a stainless steel tray .. maintnence that is a little higher, but they last longer, more powerful and better distribute the heat and consume less fuel solid

wood stoves welded steel work very well, and do not require maintenance that cast iron stoves do, like seals at the joints. I have owned three steel pans (2 and 1 DeVaullt Fisher) and loved them all.
