Can a thermostat be used to control the furnace fan for a wood boiler to the outsidea I replaced an old thermostat 2 control my son gas oven with a digital camera. the son used to use the fan on the switcha that the terminals are used boh the thermostat and the furnacea What color wire to the terminala also, is it possible to add an auxiliary thermostat independently run the fan to distribute heat from a wood boiler installed outdoorsa
If it is a gas heating only, there is no son to the fan. The fan on a gas oven is controlled by the temperature inside the oven. Since you only have two son, they go across red and white. It does not matter because those who polarity is not a problem with this configuration.
You would need a separate control circuit to operate the thermostat and fan of the wood boiler. It would be a transformer of 24V, a 24V relay switch and thermostat.
