Cape Town has several scenic routes which allow visitors to fully appreciate the experience of Cape Town, the mountain vegetation of rich heady cliffs of Cape Point.

These trips should be appreciated dramatically as you wish, and the automaker's head closest to the quality of hire, choose your favorite model and take the road.

Cape Point

Follow the coastline of the Indian Ocean since the white beaches of Muizenberg and Fish Hoek and keep an eye on the pods of whales and schools of dolphins who flock to the relative calm of False Bay to race or frolic in the waves . There are excellent sites for all along Boyes Drive, which offer panoramic views over the bay and beyond.

Pop in the busy fishing port of Kalk Bay, where there is an array of restaurants serving fresh fish and specialties from other oceans. Then, if you have time, you can trot along the main road to a selection of souvenir shops and collectibles where all sorts of hidden treasures waiting to be discovered.

Make an effort to stop at Boulders Beach, a swimming destination, but also the home of a colony of endangered penguins. Then it returned to the naval village of Simon's Town where British influence is still decades after the last British fleet left the region. Waterfront Little Simon's Town offers a selection of restaurants and pubs offering the perfect venue for lunch time.

Then it is the Cape Point Nature Reserve where wildlife abounds. You can hike up the hill to the point itself or there is a funicular that will do the job for the unfit and infirm.

Take the alternate route home, this time along the Atlantic coast of the city. Marvel at the loneliness of Misty Cliffs and Scarborough and stop at Kommetjie lighthouse where the lighthouse keeper will be more than happy to take you on a tour of one of the last manned lighthouses in the world. Noordhoek you have a choice of following two other very famous scenic - Chapman's Peak Kaapse Weg or Or.

Chapman's Peak

In the sleepy suburb of Noordhoek beach, follow the signs for the stunning Chapmans Peak. Carved into the rock face itself by Italian prisoners of war, the road hugs the cliffs literally almost vertically from the vertebral column of the Table Mountain Range.

Chapman's Peak Forms one of the most difficult obstacles for athletes who participate in both the annual Argus Cycle Tour and the famous Two Oceans Marathon.

Take time to discover Hout Bay, a suburb practically self-sufficient that benefits both of life in seaside and mountain escapes. Then follow the coast past Llandudno, Camps Bay and Clifton, all the way to the city itself.

Kaapse Weg or

At Noordhoek you can follow the coast or enjoy another disc with unforgettable views. Kaapse Weg and was built in the 1970s and takes you on the chain of Silvermine Mountain, through some of the most pristine wilderness areas and in the Constantia valley below.

The set is part of the Table Mountain National Park and boasts some of the truest examples of the Cape fynbos. Walk on top of the mountain and admire the magnificent view of the southern suburbs and False Bay. Having enjoyed a beautiful sunset from here, you can return to your car rental and home to M3 motorway.
