Types of motion detectors wireless Recently they have become increasingly popular in public restrooms where toilets, soap dispensers, and faucets are automated. They are also very popular and useful security features that can be connected to systems of greater security. A motion sensor can trigger a warning signal, like an alarm, flashing lights, or a surveillance camera whenever it detects motion.
Types of motion detectors
You must first be aware of the different types of wireless detectors before you buy a model. This will help you understand what type of detector is best for your use.
• Ultrasonic sensors - These motion detectors send waves of sound frequency that detect the presence of objects. These are older models and have been replaced by advanced sensors.
• Active infrared (IR) - These devices continuously emit radiation, such as light, radar or ultrasonic waves and detects changes in the environment caused by an object passing. IR detectors are often found in the automatic doors used in malls and grocery stores.
• Passive infrared (PIR) - Just as IR detectors, PIR devices sensitive to changes in its environment, but they do not emit radiation. Instead, they detect changes in the temperature of objects and people who are in the range of surveillance. They are those used mainly for home and office security.
Instead of infrared radiation detectors using microwave CW signals to detect changes in the frequencies of its surroundings. They are more sensitive than IR and PIR detectors and both are obviously more expensive. Types of wireless motion detector
